The City of Huntsville, MCHC, Drug-Free Communities and UAMS talked with residents about health care, mental health and transportation.

The City of Huntsville hosted a community discussion with the Madison County Drug-Free Communities grant, the Madison County Health Coalition, the UAMS Northwest Regional Campus and community partners.
We talked about health care access, mental health, transportation and substance use, and, most importantly, how to build trust and better connect residents with the resources available to them. Together, we can and will build a healthier, more connected Madison County.
A follow-up community workshop on reducing stigma was planned for October 2 at the Basham Community Center, with the UAMS Institute for Community Health Innovation and the UR Recovery Center of Excellence.
