What is a CAP?
Community Action Projects (CAPs) are not committees of the coalition, but the coalition provides oversight to help them stay in good standing. CAPs that use MCHC’s 501(c)(3) status to receive grants or funding fall under a grant committee and follow that committee’s standards and bylaws.
Each CAP’s mission statement must line up with the mission, vision and purpose of MCHC, and each group has a representative in the coalition.

How to become a CAP
Your group fills out the MCHC CAP Application and reads and signs the MCHC CAP Consent Form. The Executive Board reviews both. Ask us for the forms.
